Ó bunaíodh in 2022 í, tá féile bhliantúil Ealaíon agus Eagna ag croílár fhéilire imeachtaí na hOllscoile. Is le ríméad a dhéanaimid an fhéile seo a thionól gach Bealtaine, féile a shásóidh fiosracht agus goile lucht cultúir as an uile chearn le léirithe de chuid Cheoldráma Náisiúnta na hÉireann, scannáin le stiúrthóirí iomráiteacha, ceol beo, imeachtaí ealaíon Gaeilge, plé agus léamh na litríochta le húdair a bhfuil clú domhanda orthu.

Arts and Minds Festival

Arts and Minds is Maynooth University’s annual celebration of the best in Irish and international arts and culture events.

8pm - Italian Passions: An Evening of Bel Canto featuring arias and duets by Bellini, Donizetti and Rossini

Irish National Opera returns to Arts and Minds

7:30pm - The Say a Song Project

Experience a unique exploration of Irish cultural heritage with Doireann Ní Ghlacáin in this immersive reimagining via captivating soundscape, dynamic short film projections, and conversation, of the epic tales of sean nós songs

9:30pm - Oíche Scéalaíochta agus Amhránaíochta

An evening of traditional Irish storytelling and sean nós singing

Beginning at 10am and running through to 8:30pm, a diverse and entertaining programme lies ahead. Some of today's highlights feature Where is My Mind? Live Podcast with Niall 'Bressie' Breslin and Special Guests, The Literary Lounge Keynote with Pulitzer Prize Winner Nathan Thrall in conversation with Paul Lynch, Booker Prize Winner, a film screening of Barry Lyndon, named best Irish film of all time by the Irish Times, and the musical extravaganza which closes the Festival, featuring the wonderful Sharon Shannon, supported by The Beartla Ó Flatharta Céilí Band from Leixlip, Co. Kildare. So plan your day and make sure you get to all the events you fancy!

10am - Masterclass in Poetry

Explore with poet, and novelist, Mary O'Donnell, some of the ways poetry comes to be written today through interactive chat and examples of poetry already in print

Public transport

It’s easy to get here! Maynooth is well-served by public transport and has great transport links with the rest of the country.

The majority of events take place on our campus, and some are only a stone’s throw away in Maynooth town.

Free Open Day Busses

There are plenty of wonderful restaurants and coffee shops in Maynooth town. The street food specialists, Irish Village Markets will be serving great food on our north campus on Saturday 10th May from 11am – 4.30pm.

Free and accessible parking is available at Maynooth University (after 5pm on 8th and 9th, and all-day on 10th) in the Pay and Display car parks and in any designated (Student/Staff) parking spaces throughout the Campus.
